Battle Allergies with Beta Glucan

Battle Allergies With Beta Glucan

Nasal congestion. Runny nose. Sneezing. Itchy nose. Itchy eyes. Watery eyes.

According to AAFA, 1 in 5 every Americans suffers from allergies and turn to allergy pills to find relief. You or someone you know suffers from allergies. And most people end up going to the doctor to be prescribed acetaminophens or antihistamines. But, can these medications really offer you relief?

Scientists have discovered a surprising natural alternative approach: Beta glucans.

The idea of using natural polysaccharide components to reduce allergy symptoms may sound radical, but clinical trials show beta glucans increase the immune system’s T-cell levels, which can be quite beneficial to help lower inflammatory responses causes by allergies.1

Trials show that beta-1,3/1,6-glucans are extremely effective at offering allergy relief:

  • Fewer days with nasal congestion
  • Reduction on swollen nasal passages
  • Reduction in eye symptoms

This is great news for allergy sufferers.

Attacking Allergies & The Most Common Symptoms

Allergies are due to hypersensitivity of the immune systemthat causes damaging responses which can affect the whole body. When your body perceives a threat from an allergen — pollen, pet hair, dust, and certain foods, it goes into defensive mode. As a result, you get:

  • Itchy nose, congestion and stuffiness
  • Coughing, wheezing and trouble breathing
  • Skin rash, redness, hives, dryness, peeling or itchiness

Scientists found that beta glucans are extremely effective as immune stimulants that enhance resistance to allergies.

Allergy symptoms occur when your body tries to fight allergens with histamine. The immune system reacts by producing Immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies that cause havoc. Beta glucan reduces IgE, providing allergy relief.

What You Need to Know

Most pills for seasonal allergies target the symptoms, like sneezing runny nose, and itchy eyes, but they don’t relieve the immune system.

A novel approach focuses, instead, on the cause of allergies, restoring the normal balance in your immune system. Based on what scientists have found, beta glucans help reduce antibodies called IgE, which causes the body to release histamines and produce symptoms that affect the nose, eyes, throat, lungs, and skin.

In human studies, beta-1,3/1,6-glucans significantly increase the immune system’s T-cell levels, which means they help to reduce allergy symptoms and causes. They are especially beneficial for people suffering from immune disorders.

Taking a beta glucan supplement provides a unique option for improving your quality of life when dealing with seasonal allergies.2-6

I tolerated nasal drainage, congestion, and related cough for more than 4 decades. Doctors never identified what it was. I didn’t push it a lot because I have distrusted Big Pharma for decades. For the past year now I have been taking Immutol for the Glucans. And I can now report that the drainage and coughing have diminished immensely. I strongly suspect that Immutol greatly facilitated that observed improvement. My thanks to IMMUNOCORP. And I just ordered another multi-month supply.
